Reeves Turtle have a small size and lovely personality making them a great choice for beginner turtle keepers.
They are not very strong swimmers, but are very lively and active. A long tank with a water level at least one and half times the height of the shell is perfect ideally decorated with rocks and logs providing a ramp to get up to a basking area easily.
Reeves Turtles can be quite messy, so you’ll need a strong filter to help keep the water in optimum condition.
