Despite the Redeye Puffer’s small size, they do not make very good community fish as it is a very territorial species and so should be kept in a species tank that is heavily planted. This species is also highly sensitive to water conditions and so will be affected by deteriorating water conditions so regular (partial) water changes is always recommended.
In order to the its teeth sharp, they should be fed snails regularly leaving the shell on as well as worms and live / frozen foods.
