Pinoy Paraiba Blue

Description

The Pinoy Paraiba Blue, also known as the Blue Pinoy Angelfish is a somewhat recently developed strain known for its deep blue colouration and high contrast black markings.

As a vertically-oriented species, they tend to do best in a large, tall, well-planted aquarium with plenty of cover.

Although peaceful when they are young, the Pinoy Paraiba Blue, can be fairly aggressive towards one another as adults. They generally do well in a large group of around 5 or more. Most other non-cichlid tank-mates will be left alone but they will hunt and eat very small fish or invertebrates.

Angels are a little sensitive to water quality so care should be taken to avoid large fluctuations in the water conditions and partial water changes should be performed regularly.
