The Koi Angelfish is a strain of angelfish that has been bred for its mottled black & white coloration. Some have gold markings on their head. The young specimens may have a red hue beneath the eyes that will usually fade with age. These are beautiful angelfish, and like Koi, the coloration of each fish will be different.
It prefers a well-planted aquarium with a minimum of 30 gallons with soft, slightly acidic water. Rocks and driftwood can be added to the aquarium, but be sure to leave plenty of space for swimming too.
The Koi Angelfish needs to be fed a variety of foods including vegetables as well as meaty foods. Feed a quality flake food as well as live and frozen foods such as brine shrimp & bloodworms.
