Description
Hemigrammus Hyanuary, January Tetra, is from slow-moving rivers, tributaries and floodplain lakes in the Amazon basin in Peru and Brazil.
It also does well in a well-maintained, heavily planted tank and feeds mostly on a mixture of dried flakes and granules along with small live and frozen foods.
It’s a very peaceful species that is ideally kept with other South American species, such as cichlids, Corydoras and small Loricariids.
It is a shoaling species by nature, and will fare much better when in the company of its own kind.
