In an aquarium, they are hardy and undemanding and will live in groups as long as adequate space and cover are provided for each fish to stake out its own territory.

Description
Giuris Margaritacea, the snakehead gudgeon, Aporos sleeper, or ornate sleeper, is a species found in marine, brackish, and freshwaters from Madagascar to Melanesia. This species grows to a total length of 29 cm (11 in) with a maximum recorded weight of 171 g (6.0 oz).
A large, spectacularly coloured goby is found throughout much of the tropical Indo-Pacific. Generally they are peaceful towards fish too small to be eaten but robust enough to hold their own against semi-aggressive tankmates, this species makes an impressive addition to a medium to a large community aquarium.
