Description

The Corydoras Sp CW106 is an undescribed Cory that shares its habitat with the similar CW107, leveraging their similar colouration for mutual protection against predators. While their patterns may suggest a close relation, these species are less closely related than one might think.

To ensure the well-being of these fascinating fish, provide a spacious aquarium with a soft sand substrate. This setup allows them to root around and forage without risking damage to their barbels. Efficient filtration, moderate water movement, and adequate oxygenation are essential. Regular maintenance, including frequent partial water changes, is crucial for optimal health. Create plenty of shady areas with driftwood, rocks, and dense planting. Being social creatures, they thrive in groups of 5 or more. Peaceful tankmates like small pencilfish, tetras, and rasboras are ideal companions, encouraging the Corydoras to explore more often.

These Corys eagerly devour sinking catfish pellets, granules, tablets, flake, and frozen foods such as bloodworms and white mosquito larvae. Live foods are also relished, adding variety to their diet.
